Clouds (january)

At first, clouds to my eyes are shapeless. Then they form a lot of shapes at the same time. In their ever changing process they resemble castles, faces with big noses, mountains, and every possible thing and place. At times I watch them from the inside of an aeroplane and see infinite fluffy fields and hills made of cloudy white cotton. Sometimes I stand in front of them, hypnotised while they move slowly. It’s as if their constant change marks the succession of days in a continuous loop of light and dark hours. Other times I think the sky is a sort of upper sea and the clouds are its fascinating and wonderful waves. There are days when the clouds are a big wide grey cover above our heads, threatening our shiny days. While other times they open themselves to the sun, letting the light pass through to caress our soul. Mostly, they are one of the main reasons why we frequently walk with our eyes up in the air, daydreaming about fantastic and distant places, looking for possible shapes where to feel safe.
