'Japanese notebooks' is my personal interpretation of Igort's graphic novel bearing the same title. I started writing these tracks after meeting him and discovering his works and enchanting worlds... so this is my view of Japan through my music and his beautiful drawings.

The music featured in this album is also the soundtrack to 'Manga Do', a documentary directed by Domenico Distilo about Igort's trip to Japan in spring 2016, out in 2018 for Sciara Film Productions (www.sciara.net).
